I ran into the CEO of Izotope at a conference, and followed up by
emailing him, and asked whether they have any problems running their
plugins in Audacity. Here's a thread of email from their QA guy who ran
some tests, Tedd Terry.

For developers, does anybody know offhand whether Audacity has support
for delay compensation in plugins?

For QA folks, any responses to his questions in the last paragraph?


Probably a good idea for us to do this generally, at least with major
plugin developers.

Sure, go ahead and forward it.  I'm the best contact for any issues
developers encounter with our products.  If anyone wants to run a
quick test, all of our products have an unrestricted 10 day trial
period.  Also bear in mind that I didn't have time for a full sweep so
I haven't checked all of our products in Audacity and I didn't poke
around too hard for latency compensation options... Just in the
General and Effects options.
