I've given rc3 a good run-through on my typical workflow, including Timer Record, and that all worked fine. Also did some stress tests exercising the effects and analyzers - all fine (including the Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift). Also tried a couple of Steve's new experimental Nyquist effects for ProFade out and Cross fade - both worked fine. My concerns have been that there was initial confusion what the patch was supposed to do, and then I wondered if the patch went far enough compared to all the associations that VLC lets you add for its supported formats. The issue is P4, so I have not prioritised testing Benjamin's latest iteration. He says "With this updated patch all file formats that are listed in the export dialog have a corresponding mime type entry (except MP2, which has video/mpeg as mime type)." I am not sure if that means that you can only add MP2 as an Audacity association if you build Audacity with FFmpeg support; however if so it is apparently an Ubuntu mime type quirk rather than an Audacity problem and it looks now that the patch is full featured. Benjamin has tested it, so if we are having an rc4, we could commit the latest patch and I'll test it in rc4. If we are releasing 2.0.2 then I'll test the patch as soon after 2.0.2 as I can. Gale |

Hi.
Please run ./autogen.sh to update the configure script (and commit the updated configure file). Otherwise the changes to configure.in will not take effect.
