any chance a tool could be added to audacity to lock trax and specific
fragments of trax in time?
right now, if i wanna do a punch in, i first have to create a track of
silence and then use the quick mix function to mix my punch in and
that together so the stuff will align itself in time
correctly...otherwise, the fragment needs to be dragged back into
place, and it's kind of a pain in the a** sometimes....also makes it a
little more difficult sometimes to fit a whole song on cd that way,
cuz a 30 second solo or whatever needs to have it's submixed wav file
start at the beginninning of the audio project......so a 5mb file may
need to be a 50-80mb file, diggit?
if there was a way to lock the audio in place when recorded or after
allignment, that'd be phat as hell.
no big deal....i love the program, f***in crazy about it.....
but i think it'd make it easier to deal wth archiving stuff as
individual wav trax.
(yah, i know i should save the aups as aups, but wav files are MUCH
smaller, and can translate to other machines without installing a REAL
audio program like audacity....lolto me , audacity is more like a
harley, ya know? something ya can tangibly get into....unlike say,
adobe audition, which, like a rice burner crotch rocket, does what it
does, and NO, you CAN'T mess with iot's one-trick-ponyism...)
also, any way to make it so if ya DO save aups, it will save all the "undos"?
or would that just make the files even huger?
anyways, it's all good....thanks folks!!
