Spanish translation of the website

Jorge González González
Hi,

I've seen that the spanish translation of the website is a little
bit old, and it has many untranslated messages.

I've been working on the po file for a while and now it's a bit better,
if the actual mantainer of the translation doesn't mind, I can send here
the updated file.

Salutations.

PD: I'm also looking forward to working on the software translation.

Re: Spanish translation of the website

Ezequiel Plaza
Hi Jorge...

I'm Ezequiel Plaza I've been translating Audacity (soft) and the site into spanish. I've been really busy since my last translations, so I think it would be good for Audacity some help on spanish translation. I would only suggest to keep consistency between the terms used to translate the technical words and the new translations you do. I have a TXT with some terms we chose for many technical words we've found, to keep coherence between the manual, the software and site. If you want I can send you that file. I think it would be good for the translation.

Good luck!!

Hi, I've been traslating Audacity too since the last year. I've already
sent the updated po for the new release (1.2.4) to Dominic, and I'm
traslating the website too. The file placed in the cvs is my translation
base on the Ezequiel file.

It would be nice to have that file since I also translate another music

Is the last version of Audacity completely translated?
I see that there are many messages untranslated in the cvs version.

Vale, básicamente era eso lo que quería saber, si había alguien detrás o
la(s) persona(s) que habían estado traduciéndolo lo habían dejado,
porque había mirado el cvs y la web y parecía algo abandonado, si bien
la última actualización del cvs era de ayer (como quien dice).
El po del sitio web lo tengo bastante avanzado, he corregido bastantes
errores (free != gratis, etc) y traducido algunas cadenas nuevas, si tú
también tienes algo traducido podemos hacer un «merge» de las
traducciones y listo.

Respecto al software la verdad es que sólo quería actualizarlo y, a ser
posible, adecuarlo a la guía de estilo de Gnome, sí, ya sé que no es una
aplicación de Gnome pero me parece una guía bastante coherente.
También había visto alguna inconsistencia en alguna cadena y me gustaría
comentárosla por si os parece bien cambiarla.

Welcome!

I see that the other translators already responded.  You can decide
together how to work on the Spanish translation.  When you a new
translation file is ready, please send it to me or Dominic.

Thanks for your work!

dooteo-2
In reply to this post by Jorge González González
Hi all,

Two days ago I send Basque updated PO file to Dominic, but not answer
receive until now.

Shall I send this updated PO file to this mail? Or better to wait to
Dominic's replay?

Thanks and best regards,

Dooteo

Re: Basque translation updated

I think they must be waiting to get them all. We can wait a couple of
days and take a look at the cvs.

Regards,

Antonio
