ffmpeg library not found

DongHui Bak
Hi.
I'am using audacity 1.3.13 alpha. The ffmpeg library version is
http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/autobuilds/ 20100506.
But, ffmpeg version not found. Location of avformat-52.dll is
util\audacity\avformat-52.dll.
Thanks for this program.

You've probably got too recent a version of FFmpeg, so run into this:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Known_Issues#Active_issues

So if you're compiling 1.3.13, use the workaround there. Help > Show Log in Audacity should tell you if that is the issue.

If you are using the nightly build, download the official FFmpeg installer:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=FAQ:Installation_and_Plug-Ins#ffdown

and follow the instructions. Since you were trying to link to another copy of FFmpeg, you will have to browse in preferences to the official version. If Audacity still does not recognise the official version, delete the old FFmpeg, then open audacity.cfg in a text editor following these instructions:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Audacity_Preferences#reset_beta

Delete these lines in audacity.cfg

[FFmpeg]
Enabled=
FFmpegLibPath=

and save the changes.  Then you should be able to browse to the official FFmpeg in Preferences and have it recognised.
